You won’t “know” all the time, however. Sometimes, you run into rough patches. Sometimes you’ll question whether things are “working out”. Sometimes, you might just be utterly and completely lost, and you may feel as if that person who completed you.. is not giving you enough, or what you think is enough. But truly, if you face the cliff and realize what this person means to you.. You’ll know. You’ll know that the past is what it is, and the future you want to spend with them… and you have the present to make the endless possibilities happen.

You’ll find that person. You’ll know.

Love isn’t something that’s automatically felt and should be taken for granted. Love needs to be shown, expressed, nurtured, and appreciated. So many people have this twisted idea that if you feel like you love someone, it should just be enough. But that’s not the case at all. It’s like finding a soul mate- you don’t just fall in love and expect things to just go splendidly forever. You find someone and the more time you spend with them, the more you learn, them ore you interact and do things with and for each other- that’s falling in love, that’s finding your soul mate. If you dated someone, then never did anything with them, treated them as just another friend, even though you were in a relationship, it would eventually crumble. Because without new memories being made, new things to share, you’d be loving them off of the past you shared, and you should never live in the past. You love someone because of what they bring to your life, and what you can bring to theirs.

You don’t find love, it’s created.
