I’m so overwhelmed right now. I’m pretty surprised that I didn’t cry. It’s such an honor to have won the Area 5 Interactor of the Year award. Thank you so much Alex (@qinpanzee) for choosing me. I honestly mean it when I say you will always be the best DC member I’ve ever known, and not just because you’re my own area’s director. Words can’t explain how inspired you have made me, and I should probably stop here before I sound obsessed over how great of a person you are.
To add on to my speechlessness, Washington High School Interact Club won the Membership Award, having a crazy increase in the number of active members in comparison to 2010-2011. Alsion Ohlone (another A5 school) also won the Awareness award. Congratulations to Joshua Chang for winning the WHS Interactor of the Year award. Although you may never see this (because Tumblr is blocked on your computer), you truly earned Interactor of the Year and I would not hesitate to say that you are one of the most hard-working Interactors that I have ever seen from both our school and our district. You are only a freshman and you have so many more Interact-filled years to apply yourself to. Congratulations also to David Kang from Irvington High School for winning IHS’ Interactor of the Year award. You DEFINITELY deserved it. I had absolutely no doubt in my mind that you would be picked. You are the hardest working officer in Area 5 that I know (other than myself, of course *wink*) and you really deserve great things from Interact if you keep on working this hard.
Area 5 and WHS Interact. My two top priorities. If I weren’t so tired right now, I’d be bawling. I’m sort of in that “too tired/proud/happy” to feel sad phase. I truly love each and every Area 5 Interactor. Thank you for all being so active in Interact, and thank you for having faith in me as one of the Presidents of our Area (especially you, Alex!). I don’t know how I would make it through this year without you (okay, I’m starting to cry at this point anyways). I don’t know how I’m ever going to come to an Area meeting and not see you there scolding me for posting my derp faces on Facebook/Tumblr, or congratulating our club for simply being amazing. Love you so much; you’re the BEST. I think I said that already, so moving on now.
TOO MANY FEELINGS TO PUT IN ONE POST. Overall, it was an incredible day and I wouldn’t have missed this if both my ankles were sprained and I was still as sick as I was two weeks ago. Thank you Kylie, Megan, Rahaima, Isabella, Adriel, Josh, Simon, Mayna, Daniel, Jacob, Jason, Kasy, Jamie, Brandon M. (&K), Eric, Florito, Sarah, Jake, Vanessa, David, and Dorothy for really just being there for me today and hanging out with me and really just making Spring Celebration 2012 the best it could possibly be.
WHS Interact, I love you. Area 5, I love you. Interact D5170, I love you.
District Council Application, here I come.
